There is a big
difference between some plumbers fifteen minute boiler inspection and my full
boiler service. If you want it done properly then call me.
When you have your
boiler serviced, it is important to keep a note of the date so you can book
next year’s in plenty of time. When I complete your service, I will stamp your
manufacturer’s book with the date and this will help you remember – be careful
to have the book handy. Servicing your boiler is vital to keep it running
safely but as well as safety you will also get a boiler which runs more
efficiently and will have a longer useful life.
I see many boilers
which have been neglected and are downright dangerous – before your boiler gets
into this state, book a service and gain some peace of mind.
A typical boiler service includes:
·
Checking the burn rate
– correcting it if it is wrong.
·
Checking the flue and
terminal for blockages – alert homeowner if there is a problem.
·
Check ventilation –
alert homeowner if it needs attention.
·
Check performance
whilst working – adjust as necessary.
·
Check for rust,
corrosion and leaks – alert homeowner if anything untoward found.
·
Generally check that
the boiler is working as it should and that all of the controls are present and
working.
